To provide an independent national body to solely protect BRT operators, allied organisations and commuters, by representation and support to ensure planning and sustainability of BRT’s in the transport industry, whilst meeting governments’ policy and strategic objectives.

OUR MISSION

SABRATA is a public transport association which serves and leads a diverse membership through advocacy, technical know-how, innovation, training and information sharing to strengthen, expand and sustain bus rapid transit transportation.

OUR OBJECTIVES

We would like to develop and safe guard the highest standards of services to the general public. Empower, transform and develop public transport industry, particularly the Taxi Industry. To ensure that all members and represented and earn a deserved standard of living. Protect the rights of BRT operators in South Africa. To develop uniform standards in BRT operations in South Africa. Transform and empower BRT bus operators stakeholders. Research, innovation and share knowledge with stakeholders. Do training, development, awareness and education on BRT. Host Conferences, Workshops and Seminars. Lobbying in relation to legislation.

MEMBERSHIP

  • SABRATA will represent the interests of BRT bus company operators in South Africa and identified stakeholders.
  • Membership will be open to all BRT bus operating companies and ancilliary organisations.
  • Membership to be determined by the current directors and set out in the Constitution.
  • Membership will attract a joining fee, annual membership fee and monthly fees to be determined.
